Low intensity magnetic separators (LIMS)

Low intensity magnetic separators (LIMS) are used mainly to separate highly magnetic minerals, slag, etc. Depending on the particular application users can choose from a variety of models both for wet and dry operation.



We offer a wide range of low intensity magnetic separators: concurrent, backward and for recovery from dense media. All designs can be used for preliminary and final separation, mainly in the iron ore industry. The main reason to use such a separator in dense media circuits is to recover particles from dense media slurries. There are also applications in the steel sector in order to recover fine fractions from waste. Capacities depend on the given application and can be up to 500 t/h per single unit.



We offer drum and drum-belt models for various dry separation applications. Drum separators are used to separate ferromagnetic materials, e.g. slag processing, separation of reduced pyrite dust, production of calcined ilmenite, iron powder and magnetite. Belt separators are mainly used to separate raw magnetic ores and slags. Belt separators can separate solids up to 300 mm in size, capacity can reach up to 1,000 t/h.


HGMS magnetic separators

High gradient magnetic separators (HGMS) can be used in numerous applications including processing of iron ore, rare earth ore and industrial minerals. Additionally apart from magnetic materials such as iron, cobalt and nickel these separators can also separate materials with low magnetic properties which normally cannot be processed using traditional magnetic separators.

HGMS can work in cycles or continuously (carousel). Magnetic properties of the material determine which type of machine must be used. All the machines offer maximum yield and high quality of processed minerals. Simple and robust design guarantees reliable work and easy operation.


HGMS for cyclic work

Cyclic HGMS are used with feeds having low magnetic properties. They are usually used to brighten kaolin clay, reduce iron oxide in glass-making sand, reduce copper in molybdenum concentrate and beneficiate phosphate.


HGMS for continuous work

HGMS for continuous operation are responsible for efficient separation of minerals with high magnetic properties. They are perfect machines in a variety of applications including beneficiation of hematite, ilmenite, chromite; separation of rare earth minerals, removal of impurities from industrial minerals containing iron inclusions and separation of metal ores. Capacities can reach up to 600 t/h.



Flotation is the most popular method to recover common metal minerals such as copper, lead or zinc; to enrich iron ores and various other minerals as well as to remove impurities from minerals and glass-making sand.

For many years we have designed and built flotation systems. Having at our disposal results of tests carried out at producers’ labs and field tests as well as results achieved in actual production plants we can design optimum flotation solutions.


Flotation system

RCS flotation machine (reactor cell system) links the advantages of a round tank and unique properties of DV mechanism ensuring perfect conditions for roughing, cleaning and scavenging flotation. The RCS flotation system has been designed for high capacities at limited maintenance costs. The DV mechanism effectively creates a radial stream of slurry and strong back flows in the bottom zones of the impeller. Air is blown in through a special nozzle and can be adjusted separately for each cell. All RCS cells are equipped with overflow troughs which efficiently collect the froth at short transportation distances. The DV mechanism has been designed taking into account simplification of operation. Consumables can be replaced inside the cell without the need to replace the mechanism or the complete mechanism can be removed and the maintenance done outside.


RCS flotation cells

Flotation systems usually combine multiple flotation cells connected serially into systems. Such units are supplied complete with systems adjusting pulp level and amount of air. The standard model features a single RCS flotation cell with a capacity of 200 m3 and the maximum throughput up to 2,500 t/h per single unit.


Gravity separation

Gravity separation historically is the oldest method of beneficiation. We have a long experience in gravity separation with the most popular equipment being spirals. Modern spirals are designed for high individual capacities and come in a variety of versions – all of them carefully selected for optimal operation in given conditions.


Dense media separation

Dense media separation uses gravity and the difference in specific gravities of separated minerals. The separation takes place in a special liquid with carefully selected specific gravity so that heavy particles sink and light particles float.

We can offer drum as well as pressure chamber separators for a wide range of applications. We can also supply complete tailor-made systems including screens, separators, control systems and piping.
